Trump Rushes Twitter To Side With Brutal Dictator Against American Press During Early Sunday Freakout

One commonality through all of the president’s actions can be said to be that he’s going it alone. Whether it’s on issues of immigration policy, economic policy, or any other related field, the president has long made it clear that, as he said explicitly at one point, his primary consultant is himself.

This modus operandi has been applied to the situation surrounding the nuclear threat from North Korea via the president abruptly deciding to meet with the North Korean leader. Concurrent to endless belligerence from the White House, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un decided to go along with the president and make a show of conceding to a base level of his demands.

President Trump seems to be continuously willfully ignorant of the possibility that he is being duped. We are talking about the leader of North Korea here, not some lower level American politician, and yet, the president seems incredibly keen on taking him at his word.

On Sunday, he took that to the point of lambasting the American news media yet again because they pointed out the questionable aspects to what is currently going down between the U.S. and North Korea. He, on a very literal level, sided with the North Korean regime over the American free press.

He wrote, in part:

‘Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd of Fake News NBC just stated that we have given up so much in our negotiations with North Korea, and they have given up nothing. Wow, we haven’t given up anything & they have agreed to denuclearization (so great for World), site closure, & no more testing!’

The issue is that no matter how many tweets to that effect that the president posts, the North Koreans have not actually agreed to dismantle their nuclear arsenal. The president is continuing to push on anyway.
