This week, a striking new book came out from author Michael Wolff called Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, something you’ve no doubt probably heard of by now. Shortly before the book was actually released, reports came out about its contents, including an array of alleged comments from Steve Bannon harshly critical of various key members of the president’s inner circle, including both Ivanka and Donald Jr.
Bannon is said to have blasted the meeting that Trump Jr. had with a Kremlin connected lawyer in 2016 as “treasonous,” an allegation that the Breitbart head is not alone in making. He also reportedly called Ivanka “dumb as a brick” and harshly criticized her allegedly having considered making a run for president. Were she to run after her father’s tenure and win, she would be the first female president of the United States, a title, of course, that Hillary Clinton sought in the 2016 presidential election.
In response to all of this, Ivanka Trump seems to have pulled an interesting stunt. Bannon doesn’t seem to have even been active on Twitter for years, but — until recently — Ivanka Trump still followed him anyway.
According to a bot account set up to track the Trumps’ activity on Twitter, following the publication of details about Wolff’s book, Ivanka Trump, who follows just over 1,000 accounts at present, unfollowed Bannon.
Apparently then, Bannon’s reported comments didn’t just anger the president and Donald Jr., but also Ivanka Trump.
