It’s pretty clear at this point that the Trumps are under the impression that they can do no wrong. You’d no doubt be hard pressed to find an instance of any one of them admitting wrongdoing.
Thus, the Trumps find it nothing to lash out at individuals accused of sexual assault and harassment while Donald Trump himself stands credibly accused of the same thing.
Lately, numerous sexual harassers and assaulters have been being outed, and one of those to face credible allegations of misbehavior is Minnesota Democratic Senator Al Franken. The first allegation against him came from sports host Leeann Tweeden, who says that Franken mistreated her while the two of them while on tour overseas performing for U.S. troops.
Other women have since come forward with allegations of being treated improperly by Franken, and on the occasion of two accusers telling their stories to the public via journalists, Trump Jr. decided to take it upon himself to arrogantly tweet about the situation.
He captioned a story from HuffPost called ‘Two more women accuse Sen Al Franken of inappropriate touching’ by writing, simply, “Talk amongst yourselves.”
Remember — Trump Jr.’s dad has faced numerous credible allegations of sexual assault and harassment, allegations that are bolstered by his own comments that were caught on tape some years ago.
At least a dozen women have accused Donald Trump of sexual assault or harassment — and yet here Trump Jr. is, pretending to be in a position to speak authoritatively about the issue of sexual harassment. It’s not as though he’s spoken out about Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore, who is credibly accused of preying on children.
It’s just hypocrisy at its finest. Not just one side’s sexual abusers should go — Al Franken and Donald Trump should both be out of office, if we’re being real.
