WHOOPS: Ivanka Trump Busted For Tweeting Literal Fake Quotes From Albert Einstein

As it turns out, the Trump family’s addiction to tweeting stuff that makes everyone who has a life outside of their social media presence go “what the hell?” stretches back to before Donald ever entered the presidential race. They’ve been tweeting drivel for years.

Someone has dug up a tweet from Ivanka Trump that she posted in 2013 — which is not actually that long ago — and it’s gloriously bad.

She wrote:

‘”If the facts don’t fit the theory, change the facts.” – Albert Einstein #quote #sunday.’

Albert Einstein never said that. Sure, “the internet” says he did, but UC Berkeley Physics Professor Richard Muller says as follows:

‘Einstein said just the opposite. If a theory disagreed with the fact, you had to throw out the theory.’

Author Colin Dickey summed up the situation nicely on Twitter, writing:

‘The fact that Einstein never said any such thing only makes this tweet that much more perfect.’
