Trump Jr. Loses It, Tweets Literal Fake News, Says Rosie O’Donnell Supports The Taliban

Someone isn’t getting enough sleep or something.

Donald Trump Jr. has been tweeting a lot since the Senate Intelligence Committee hearing featuring fired FBI Director James Comey got underway early Thursday, although he is already an avid Twitter user like his dad.

On Friday, he took his belligerent Twitter-ing to a new level, gave a platform to literal fake news, and even managed to suggest that Rosie O’Donnell supports the Taliban, all in one tweet — seriously.

Trump Jr. was adding his commentary to a Fox News story about Rosie O’Donnell’s defense of a woman arrested for leaking a highly classified report about Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

That Fox story is titled on Twitter, ‘ defends the woman charged with leaking U.S. government secrets, calling her a “brave, young patriot.”‘

Now, concurrent to the flurry of news stories about the arrest of Reality Winner for leaking state secrets, far right, fringe online news outlets have been peddling what Media Matters calls a completely baseless claim that Winner had some sort of plan to pledge allegiance to the Taliban.

Trump Jr., however, apparently didn’t get the memo that these allegations about Winner are literally fake news, and adding his own commentary to the above Fox News story, he said: “I guess wanting to join the Taliban is Rosie’s version of patriotism. #SeemsLegit”

Rosie actually replied back to Trump Jr., writing, “u r the worst – as bad as the moron who made u – ur dad is gonna like jail – so will u n eric – the world sees u #asshole.”
