National Republican leadership continues to show up for the Georgia Congressional race currently unfolding between Republican Karen Handel and Democrat Jon Ossoff. Such underscores, perhaps, just how concerned GOP’ers are with making sure that they actually hang on to every last seat in Congress, and indeed, polling has painted a positive picture of Ossoff’s chances recently.
Speaking and interacting with people who had all paid at least $1,500 people to be in attendance, Vice President and full time bigot Mike Pence went to Atlanta this Friday to stump for Handel.
Even he acknowledged the pivotal nature of the race, tying it to the bigger picture of what Handel vs. Ossoff represents.
He said, “I don’t see this race so much as a choice between Karen Handel and her opponent,” adding that, in his characterization, “Karen Handel will partner with President Donald Trump to make America safe and prosperous again,” but Ossoff “represents a throwback to [Nancy] Pelosi’s first tenure as House speaker,” as CNBC summarizes his remarks.
Naturally, Pence posted to Twitter on the occasion of his visit to Georgia, as you can see below.
Twitter had some fun with the notoriously backward Vice President, and you can check out some of the best replies below.
