What an idiot Trump is.
Sure, he might not have done anything wrong in his dealings with Russia, but he sure isn’t helping his case through his behavior.
On Thursday, fired FBI Director James Comey appeared before the Senate Intelligence Committee to testify. During that testimony, he indicated pretty much what we all already suspected to be the case; namely, that Trump is facing possible consequences for obstruction of justice.
Earlier this year, Trump is alleged to have sought to pressure Comey, when he was still FBI Director, to drop the ongoing investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. Comey, looking back, says that Flynn was in fact in “legal jeopardy” at the time.
The problem is that for the President to do such a thing is an offense, and it’s something that has got a lot of people up in arms since it was revealed.
On Thursday, Senator Richard Burr, Senate Intel Committee Chairman, asked Comey: “Do you sense that the President was trying to obstruct justice or just seek for a way for Mike Flynn to save face given he had already been fired?”
‘I don’t think it’s for me to say whether the conversation I had with the President was an effort to obstruct. I took it as a very disturbing thing; very concerning, but That’s a conclusion I’m sure the special counsel will work towards, to understand what the intention was there and whether that’s an offense.’
