BREAKING: North Korea Fires Volley Of ‘Apparent Ballistic Missiles,’ South Korea Says

South Korea is reporting that North Korea has launched a volley of unidentified missiles, presumed to be surface to ship missiles.

Yonhap News Agency says:

‘North Korea launched a salvo of apparent ballistic missiles from its east coast Thursday, South Korea’s military said.

“North Korea fired multiple unidentified projectiles, assumed to be surface-to-ship missiles, this morning from the vicinity of Wonsan, Gangwon Province,” [said] the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

It was immediately reported to [South Korean] President Moon Jae-in, it added.’

North Korea has tested missiles multiple times in the past, with the pace of these tests picking up significantly recently.

The most recent test was on May 29.
