There is truly nothing that the Republicans currently leading the United States are unwilling to give up for the sake of bolstering corporate profits.
On Twitter this Friday, GOP Speaker of the House Paul Ryan spoke in a series of tweets to the upcoming full House vote on a bill that repeals some of the key components to the Dodd-Frank legislation that the Obama Administration used to respond to the 2008 financial crisis.
This legislation imposes a collection of regulations that are intended to keep financial institutions from reaching the state that they did going into the so-called Great Recession.
Pretty much religiously, however, Republicans are opposed to regulations of any sort because they claim that they “inhibit growth.”
It’s with this in mind that Republican leadership in the House is working to undo some of the key provisions of Dodd-Frank.
