Take a chill pill, CNN.
CNN expressed some bizarre infatuation with Ivanka Trump with a Friday article calling Ivanka Trump the “most powerful Jewish woman” in the United States.
The article explores the role of Ivanka’s faith in her goings-on as an accomplice to her father’s presidential administration. Ivanka, if you didn’t know, converted to Orthodox Judaism before marrying her husband Jared Kushner in 2009. Ivanka keeps her faith mostly quiet.
Nowadays, she acts kind of like a wallflower in the White House, paying lip service to progressive sounding causes and serving in an unpaid but official advisory role to her father.
All of this considered, however, does not lead credence to CNN’s publication of an article calling Ivanka Trump the most powerful Jewish woman in the United States. There are plenty of other Jewish women — think Ruth Bader Ginsburg — in positions of power in the United States, and at that, power is relative, so it’s not like CNN has even published an article with a verifiable claim.
CNN got dragged big time for this on Twitter, and you can check out some of the best replies to the network’s tweet featuring the article in question below.
