You can’t say that you didn’t see this one coming.
ABC’s Jonathan Karl, who serves as Chief White House Correspondent for the network, suggested to Martha Raddatz while appearing this Sunday morning on “This Week” that President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner could be on his way out of the White House.
According to Karl, the pressure for such to happen is building among Trump’s inner circle, with staffers worried about the fact that he’s now become such a center of attention in the Russia scandal. The series of revelations that have come out in the last week about Kushner have culminated in the recent report that Kushner brazenly sought to establish a secret channel of communications with the Russians during the transition period.
Of all of this, Karl said:
‘You hear people now, very close to the President, openly saying that it is too much, that he now finds himself at the center of the investigation — even if he is ultimately completely cleared, he is at the center of this investigation right now… and you hear people close to the President saying is it time for Jared to… take a leave of absence from the White House.’
