Donald Trump Jr. Gets Slammed On Twitter For Hideously Hypocritical Post

Donald Trump Jr. is definitely the one in his family most likely to take after his father in terms of using Twitter almost pathologically, and Monday was no different.

Adding his commentary to a post about Massachusetts Democratic U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren’s fury at the President’s overall corruption of the nation’s justice system as reflected in the shock firing of FBI Director James Comey, Trump Jr. wrote: “Certainly interesting given she stumped for Hillary and likely loved Holder and crew. Come on now! Total lack of self awareness!!!”

It was sitting U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions whose comments to the President provided the catalyst for Trump’s decision to fire Comey. James Comey was, of course, in the middle of leading a criminal investigation into the Trump team’s ties to Russia when he was fired, with such lending to serious concern over the proper handling of justice in this situation.

Sessions, for his part, had pledged to recuse himself from the Trump/ Russia investigation, even though its his office that helped jumpstart the firing of the guy leading that investigation.

It’s all of this that prompted Senator Warren to comment: “No one in this country is above the law, and we need a Justice Department, not an Obstruction of Justice Department.”

Trump Jr.’s reference to Eric Holder revives the long held to right wing argument that the Obama era Justice Department didn’t actually promote justice.

He was promptly torn apart by Twitter for suggesting that the actions of his father’s administration are on par with the actions of any Democrats anywhere at any time.
