President Trump is really struggling with this president-ing thing, and he’s admitted as such too, telling a reporter that the presidency is harder than he thought it would be.
Nonetheless, he’s still pretending like he has a clue, but his pretending on issues of foreign policy is creating situations that embarrass everyone except, apparently, Trump himself.
Trump met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday, and he came away from the meeting commenting about how he’s sure that solving the Israeli/ Palestinian conflict will somehow be easy. (It won’t be.)
His comments about the Israeli/ Palestinian conflict are similar to those that he offered recently about the Civil War, telling a SiriusXM reporter that he’s sure that the conflict could have been “talked out” if only the right people were present.
Trump tweeted along these lines about the Israeli/ Palestinian conflict late Wednesday afternoon, writing, “An honor to host President Mahmoud Abbas at the WH today. Hopefully something terrific could come out it between the Palestinians & Israel.”
Twitter promptly tore him apart for his clear ineptitude.
