Donald Trump Just Attacked The Director Of The FBI On Twitter Because Of Course He Did

It’s old news that the President of the United States really likes Twitter.

Donald Trump loves to take to Twitter to cultivate his overblown, way out of proportion self image. He treats the tiniest of grievances like they’re things worth exerting all of one’s energy going after, and he gets all of his many followers to go along with him in the meantime. Oftentimes, in the process of getting his followers riled up over the same causes that have him so upset, Trump sparks threats of violence and/or actual violence.

Trump’s latest Twitter rant targets FBI Director James Comey and Hillary Clinton. Trump is one to never, ever let go of things, which is why yes, he’s still talking about Hillary Clinton’s every move. The direct prompt for Trump’s latest rant is a conversation that Clinton had with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour about the 2016 election.

Trump, writing on Twitter, said:

‘FBI Director Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds! The phony Trump/Russia story was an excuse used by the Democrats as justification for losing the election. Perhaps Trump just ran a great campaign?’

Twitter — like always — ripped into him for his statements.

Comedy writer Nick Pappas laid the burns on thick, writing:

‘Every day you’re President makes Hillary look better and better. Hillary, for example, could probably explain why the Civil War was fought. Hillary wouldn’t ever believe that the government needs a “good shutdown.” Hillary, we’re guessing, wouldn’t hire a Press Secretary who would use the term “Holocaust Centers.”‘
