As Fox News continues to struggle under the weight of a number of lawsuits alleging everything from rampant sexual harassment to racial discrimination, the network has just sustained another loss.
Fox News Co-President Bill Shine has been fired, with his name included in a number of the aforementioned lawsuits on account of allegations that he was an accomplice in the purveyance of the behavior, turning a blind eye in many cases and “working around it,” so to speak.
Shine has been with the network since its founding, and served as former Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes’s right hand man for many years.
Shine also served as the Executive Producer of the Sean Hannity show at one point.
Commenting recently on Twitter of the rumors that his old team member would soon be out of the job, Hannity said that if the rumors were true, then what would be “the total end of [Fox News Channel] as we know it.”
