George H.W. Bush, who served as President of the United States from 1989 through 1993, has been hospitalized for pneumonia again, CNN is reporting.
He was hospitalized under similar circumstances earlier this year.
The former President’s spokesman, Jim McGrath, says that he was hospitalized this time around for “observation due to a persistent cough that prevented him from getting proper rest.”
The “mild case of pneumonia” with which he was then discovered to be affected was “treated and resolved” according to McGrath.
Although he is still in the hospital, McGrath says that the former president is “in very good spirits.”
He is being treated at Houston Methodist Hospital.
