Glenn Beck has tried, in recent months, to repair his public image after years of being the cliched conspiracy theory shouting talking head of the far right.
It’s not working.
His company’s decision to put the young conservative commentator Tomi Lahren on suspension hasn’t gone over well, with the woman who’s built a career on calling people snowflakes proving just how much of a snowflake she really is.
Beck’s company, The Blaze, put Lahren on suspension after she appeared on The View and outed herself as pro-choice. The Blaze, of course, is a staunchly conservative news outlet, and pro-choice views do not align with those of the company at large.
As Dallas News reports, Lahren’s contract with The Blaze grants the company the right to suspend and/or fire her for “conduct or involvement in a situation that brings employee into public disrespect, offends the community or any group thereof, or embarrasses or reflects unfavorably on [The Blaze’s] ’s reputation.”
What Lahren is alleging, however, is that she has information about “misconduct” on the part of Glenn Beck that she won’t hesitate to share upon the official termination of her employment contract. According to TMZ, Beck wants a judge to ” block [Lahren] from trashing TheBlaze and from making public appearances without their approval.”
We’ll have to wait and see how this mess turns out.
